Humans fit into the food web alot. Say if grass dies then the grasshopper goes extinct, then the frog goes extinct and then the tiger goes extinct then that will effect the the whole web.
Its simple really, just think of all the animals at every crossroad of the web. The ones on the bottem of the web are the ones that are consumed by others. The higher you go, the more larger or(lets just say) higher in rank than the one below it. For example, seaweed might be on the bottom of the web. Then come phytoplankton, and then small fish, then sardines, and then larger fish. The larger fish gets consumed by seals, and then by sharks. You see how this works now?
Us humans are usually at the top of the food chain.
We are at the top of the food chain however you look at it. As omnivores, we will eat just about anything. With our weapons, we are able to hunt animals that we would not be able to physically overtake without the animal even realizing what happened. We are known to eat other apex predators, such as alligators, cobras, and bears. Just hope those animals don't catch us off guard in their territory, though.
yes we are part of the food chain,
we get energy from other animals which we are called omnivores or carnivores
and when we die we get decomposed by decomposers.

a food web shows what animals eat others. a energy pyramid shows all animals that eat the same thing.
an energy pyramid shows the amount of energy that moves from one feeding level to another feeding level in a food web
the difference is that energy pyramids show life and food pyramids are just stacks of food
