They will almost always run, especially when confronted by humans. Leopards are the most intelligent cat, so it will most likely be gone before you even know it's there. If cornered it will crouch down, lay its ears flat, snarl, hiss, and bare its claws and teeth to try and scare away the impending attacker. There is little chance of a human fighting off a leopard with their bare hands.
When leopards sense danger they crouch low, growl, show their teeth, and flip their tale from side to side. Leopards have a chase instinct, so if something runs they chase it.
