Best Answer

Yes. All birds lay eggs.

Lyrebirds usually build their nests on the ground, on the banks of tracks and creeks, or among ground ferns or in wiregrass. However, sometimes they build their nests on the top of tree ferns or up to 20 metres above the ground in trees.

Lyrebirds primarily communicate by singing and dancing. They are masterful mimics, capable of imitating any sound, from bird calls to machinery, chainsaws and other animals. These actions - mimicry and dancing - communicate to female lyrebirds their readiness and desirability as a mate.

A lyrebird makes realistic imitations of other bird calls, as well as equally realistically mimicking mechanical noises such as chainsaws, camera shutters and a variety of other sounds.

A lyre bird digs under the leaves and eats all the ground invertebrates, crustaceans, myriapods, snails, and so on. So the lyre bird pretty much only eats insects and bugs.
