A reverse cycle air conditioner work like normal air conditioners only in reverse, transferring heat into a house instead of outside of one. It is not an air conditioner at all, but a heater.

Why reverse cycle airconditioning is not more effective in winter?

A Reverse cycle Air conditioner is MUCH more efficient than resistance heating. It is called a heat pump, and requires that the Evaporator and Condenser coils of a Closed Refrigerant System be reversed.

Is it safe to build a deck on top of your air conditioner unit?

Yes, unless you want your air conditioner to actually work.

What is the difference between an air conditioner and a heat pump?

An air conditioner if functioning as air warmer or air chiller can be called as a type of heat pump. If an air conditioner is working as an air de-humidifier then it no more a heat pump.

Bell Coleman Cycle it is the air refregeration cycle?

The Bell-Coleman Cycle is also known as the Air-Standard Refrigeration Cycle or Reverse Brayton Cycle. This 4-process refrigeration cycle involves isentropic compression, followed by isobarric heat rejection, then isentropic expansion (usually by a turboexpander), and finally isobarric heat intake. This cycle is commonly used in jet aircraft, using engine bleed air for compression and venting to the atmosphere. It is also commonly used in commercial air liquification plants.

Is a heat pump and heat exchanger the same thing?

No they are not. In fact a heat pump contains within it a heat exchanger/coil. A heat pump is reverse refrigeration. A heat exchange, exchanges heart from a heat source to a conditioned space (the area you want heated). While a heat pump uses a heat exchanger to supply heat to the conditioned space. Reverse refrigeration uses the air conditioner in reverse(you know how heat comes if the back of yhe air conditioner, well when it's in reverse that heat is used to heat a home in winter months.

Smell coming from reverse cycle air conditioner?

A smell coming from a reverse cycle air conditioner may be a signal that the filter needs to be cleaned. A smell like engine exhaust might be present if the air conditioner motor is in need of repair.

How does the air conditioner work?

the air conditioning cycle

Is it normal for the air conditioner intake to blow cold air when the heat is on?

Air conditioning will expel heat to the outside when cooling. On the heat cycle the reverse is evident

Is it better to leave your air conditioning running all the time - or to switch it on and off as necessary?

Your air conditioner should have a built in thermostat and cycle as necessary. The air conditioner takes a little while to reach peak efficiency. Once the room is cooled it will cycle on and off as necessary. If you manually cycle the air conditioner, you are greatly reducing its efficiency.

Will an air conditioner consume energy if main switch is on but air conditioner is in an off cycle?

The equipment might have circuits which remain energised when it is in an off-cycle, but the energy used would probably be less than 1% of the energy used in the on-cycle.

How do you replace an AC condenser from a 2007 Kia Rio?

Begin by removing the air conditioning condenser belt. Remove the air conditioner hoses. Remove the air conditioner condenser retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new air conditioner condenser.

Do you add coolant or freon to make a cars air conditioner work?

you use freon to cool your car and make the air conditioner work

Does your ac need freon to run the heater in your home?

Only if you have a heat pump system which is basically an air conditioner which can run in reverse, absorbing heat from outdoors and discharging it indoors via the refrigeration cycle.

What is air-standard cycle?

air standard cycle is theoretical cycle and actual cycle is .................

Will a 15A 115V air conditioner work properly in a 15A 230V air conditioner electrical outlet?

Absolutely not.

How does RV air conditioner work?

An RV air conditioner works much like an air conditioner in any vehicle. It has a compressor and a condenser that operate in concert to cool the air. In an RV, the air conditioner runs off of a generator when the engine is off.
