Sherpas who were born near the Himalayan Mountains are use to the cold. They keep warm by wearing extra clothing, much of which is mountain clothing left to them after expeditions they have worked on.

accommodation can help the local Sherpa population because it will give them somewhere warm and dry to stay. Also if there is accommodation there will be medical centre and supplies which the Sherpas can use. all in all accommodation will make the Sherpas lives easier.
I do not think any Sherpas died, but five climbers/guides did.
