it is because in the core of the earth is full of magma/lava and most volcanos are under water and when they erupt the water turns them back into rock saving the whole planet since there is about 300 volcanoes around the earth and only 100 on ground

Ocean currents carry warm water to cooler regions and carry cool water to warmer regions, keeping everything from being blown out of proportions. If these currents stopped, we would be in deep, deep trouble!

Warm currents raise the temperature and bring rain wheras cold currents lower the temperatures of the adjoining lands and do not bring rain. This is how the ocean currents help in maintaining the earth's heat balance.
