These are often called pressure sores. These are formed when a person lies in one position too long and blood flow is cut off to the tissue. You will see this where a person has a "boney" part that they are lying on. This compresses the tissue over it and slows the flow of blood. The sacrum, coccyx, heels or the hips, but other sites such as the elbows, knees, ankles or the back of the cranium can be affected.
Turning the patient is very important. When you sleep at night, you also turn yourself.

∙ 14y agoMouth ulcers can result from extremely bad oral hygiene, which is to say, allowing food residue to remain in your mouth for a long period of time, without brushing your teeth or otherwise cleaning out your mouth. If your dental hygiene is good, but you developed mouth ulcers anyway, that could indicate a more serious underlying problem such as damage to your immune system, possibly as a result of HIV.

∙ 15y agoMouth ulcers can be caused by many things. Stress, lots of citrus fruit, medications, bad immune system. Best to go to an oral surgeon for a correct diagnosis. Regular doctors don't have enough training in this area. I Reccomend If The Ulcer Is Painful pull pack your lip so you can see it in the mirror and make sure the mirror is cold and then place your mouth and ulcer on to the mirror and keep it there a few seconds then spit a couple of times and it should numb the pain for a few minutes i tried it and it works.

∙ 11y agoThe mouth ulcers can be caused by the stress. It can be also caused by the sharp dental application like braces or dentures. Certain of food can be also the trigger of mouth ulcers, mostly it is an acidic food like Oranges, lemons, strawberries and pineapple.
