1) Open the trunk. 2) Remove the 10 plastic screw caps that are arrayed across the rear wall of the trunk. This will release the entire tail light bar assembly. 3) gently work the tail light bar assembly loose and lay it on the rear bumper. 4) At this point you will see the bulbs. They are each in a… twist lock mount. This twist lock works similar to a medicine jar cap or some fluid bottle twist locks. The plastic loop must be squeezed to allow a blocking catch to slip past another blocking catch. Any way. Squeeze and twist the lamp mount free and expose bulb for replacement. 5) Reassembly is a simple reversal of these steps. ( Full Answer )
Change the 1988 tail light I changed my 1988 tail lights with my 14 year old sons help. The reason for that was because you have to put your hand up above the bumper support to reach the bulbs to pull out but you have to have a very skinny arm mine did not fit and after trying a couple of other guy…s I realized my son's arm and hand would fit and I told him what to do and he reached right up there and was able to take out the bad bulb and put in a new one. . Answer it could be because one of your tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, etc. the dash light goes off to let you know this. there is nothing wrong with the dash, probably. then again i have also seen minor electrical parts fried that cost an immense amount of mula. try the lights new answe…r i hit a deer once and that same thing happenned to my '88 century. I ended up replacing a fuse in the dashboard fusebox that, in the manual that came with the car (if i remember correctly) did not directly correspond to either the dash lights or rear lights. only after checking ALL the fuses and after the replacement of this supposedly unrelated, yet obviously blown fuse, they worked. My wife decided to jump start another vehicle during our ice storm and burned the contacts in the light switch.. which was the contact to bridge the dash/taillamps New answer: I had this same problem with my 1990 Century. All my lights worked (except dash/tail) and my fuses were good. Replacing the head light switch took care of the problem. I hope that helps ( Full Answer )
What engine does the car have? I think most (if not all) 95 Centurys had a 3.1. Specifying engine size allows for a more specific answer to your question. To remove the bolts from the pulley, first put the belt back on. With the belt on, you may be able to unscrew the pulley bolts. If the pulley …still spins, you can try rotating the tensioner in the 'tighten' direction to get a better hold. What I do to remove pulley bolts: With the belt on, I get an open-end wrench 2 mm larger then the bolts. I place the end of the wrench around one bolt. It will fit very loosely. I then use a ratchet and 6 point socket on a different bolt to turn the pulley counterclockwise until the handle of the open-end wrench contacts another bolt. Holding the wrench firmly, I use the ratchet to loosen the bolt it's already on just slightly, not more than a quarter turn. I then move the wrench to the next bolt until all bolts are slightly loosened. A second pass with just the ratchet and no open-end wrench then loosens the bolts one full turn. I remove the belt at this time and then fulley remove the pulley bolts. If and of the water pump mounting bolts are stuck, do not apply excessive force and break them off. Instead, reinstall the pulley and belt. Then fill the cooling system completely and allow the engine to idle for about 15 minutes or until it is fully warm. You can now remove the belt and pulley, drain the coolant, and safely remove the stuck bolts without breaking them. ( Full Answer )

Very easy. As your looking at the tail light from a top view. There will be a screw/bolt. Depending on which tail light you're replacing it will be toward the plate/ the middle. Unscrew that. Then on the inside of your truck pull back the truck cover. The plactic screw that holds in place your side …mat is the same that holds your tail light. Unscrew that and you're good to go. All you have to do is gently pull back the tail light. Good luck.. Any questions please let me know email@example.com. 95 Impala SS Owner ( Full Answer )

My sister's 2002 has the same problem. The first thing I would try is to change the fuse- look on the right side of the panel next to the glove box (if it is not there, check your owners manual). If you change the fuse and it immediately blows again then it is likely a short. I am still looking for …a wiring diagram to try to locate it. ( Full Answer )
Open the trunk, on the lip is a Phillips head screw, remove it.In the trunk to the far outside on the aft wall of the trunk are the 2 cargo net anchors, remove them and shake twist pull the entire fixture out. There are 4 light fittings. Each lamp holder is held in place with a spring clip that has t…o be depressed to allow turning the holder counter clockwise a quarter turn. Twist and pull, it will likely be difficult to get the lamp out. There is not a lot of slack in the wiring harness at this point. Remove the burned out lamp. It is very possible the lamp will separate from the bayonet base at this time. Use needle nose pliers to get the base out of the holder. Wipe some lamp grease on the holder before installing the new lamp. Reinstall the holder to the fixture making sure the spring lock clicks. Return the fixture to the vehicle reinstall the two anchor bolts and the Phillips head screw.I would recommend changing all 4 lamps at this time to save opening it up again and cleaning the dust and crud from around the fixture. The lamps are not all the same, check the bulb numbers at the parts store.AFM ( Full Answer )

You will need to remove the inner trunk liner to access the mounting bolts. The entire rear light panel will need to be removed as one unit just to replace one bulb.
Open the trunk lid. Directly below the lock you will see a flat piece of black metal which is actually part of an L-shaped horseshoe clip that retains the lock. Pry it with a screwdriver and it will slide out, allowing the lock to be easily removed.
- open the liftgate - remove the 2 screws at the top of the lense - carefully work the lense straight back towards you , there are plastic pins >>>>>>> that hold the lens in place - the bulb sockets are a simple turn to remove
It is ridiculously simple. Open tail-gate/hatch. Locate screws (2), on either side of Tail Light Housing interior (Left/Right). Locate (2) screws on the failed lighted side. Using a screw removal device to completion, place the (2) screws in an easily located area. Gently remove rear lense housing, …being careful to lightly disengage holding clips on rear side of vehicle. (Dont yank!) Once Tail Lense is partially removed from vehicle, twist effected bulb socket to the left, pull outed bulb, replace with new bulb. Like a puzzle, the bulb, once socketed, can only fit one way back into the lense. After completing bulb insertion, adjust Tail Lense Housing in order to align (2) screws to attach, while at the same time making sure clips engage as well. Now that wasnt too hard right? that Buick has two sensors for temp. One for the computer and one for the temp gauge. The computer temp sensor is in front of the thermostat housing, the temp gauge sensor is behind the thermostat housing. They are both pretty cheap to buy. The gauge sensor is sort of a bear to get off, unless you t…ake just a few more things off that are in you way to ease access. Be sure to bleed the cooling system of air after replacing it / those sensors. Chances are if someone as monkeyed around with things, the system may need to have the air bled anyway. ( Full Answer )
