In Cebuano, you can say "paalam" to say goodbye.
In Ibanag, you can say "Agyamanak!" to say goodbye.
In Zuni, you can say "yawakwi" to say goodbye.
I've heard them say "Cheers" but I'm not sure. Great Britain is England, I doubt they'll misunderstand you saying "goodbye", besides, quirks of your culture & background can be a great talking point, I found this a lot back in school with our Italian, Canadian and German exchange students.
