im pretty sure you would put the new chip in the ECU which is most likely located underneath the wooden pad and carpet underneath the glove box on the passenger side.
- also, you will need to take your vehicle to some sort of a performance shop because the chip will need to be saughtered where the stock chip was located. be careful when taking the screws off the actual computer inside the gold box. the computer is very sensitive and parts are easily knocked off. I'd say the the whole thing wont take any longer then an hour, and about $60 for the saughtering.
its on the passenger side silver with a black cap.
5-10 Horsepower.
Yes, they make performance chips for a F150. They will add performance and increase you gas mileage to get the most out of your engine.
Buy a performance chip. Very simple to install and pretty cheap. Can add 40 horsepower sometimes.
start with 3 quarts then crank it. Let it run for 30 seconds and kill it. Then check the dip stick and see how much you need to add.
The cold air induction kit will only add power at the upper RPMs that you will rarely see and it will be very little. As for the chip, not to worry, you are not going to add enough horsepower to hurt the transmission.
Yes. Your jeweler can help you add the chip you want.
when you put in a new chip, your engine will be more efficient but will put out more heat due to stronger combustion. so it is smart to make sure you help the engine cool when you add horsepower
depends on how much you are willing to spend, i would definilty consider swapping the older motor for a newer 89-92 300zx motor that already has twin turbos and are easy to work on. it you want to stay with the stock motor, you will have to first off get a custom turbo manifold, piping and intercooler.
I don't know what you mean by computer chip. Do you mean an add-on performance enhancer? The vehicle has an ignition control module fastened to either the rear of the engine compartment on the left fender skirt, if it is a 4.0 liter, or it is screwed to the distributer at the rear of the engine if it is a 3.0 liter. As far as a performance chip, I wouldn't think there is because an Areostar is just not something people usually try to "soup up."
where do you add clutch fluid to 1999 nissan maxima
