go to local auto parts store and get a Qwest Subzero r134a kit and Eldorado should be 2.0 lbs and you must remove the black cover off of the port near the coolant recovery tank and then check pressure with a pressure guage and make sure it's low first if so...Turn car on with A/C hi and use valve bleeding apparatus to release freon from can into port until pressure guage shows green or ok...shaking can while doing so...cappire!
How do I put freon in a 2002 Cadillac deville
Disconnect neg side of battery...then reconnect....have everything hooked up and ready to add the freon., turn a/c on high and add the freon..this will reset the A.C system long enough to let you add freon...
Brake fluid reservoir is located on the firewall next to the steering column. Remove cover top of master cylinder to add brake fluid.

It contains no Freon. It contains R134a refrigerant and you add it to the low pressure port which is the larger pipe.
The 2000 Chevrolet Silverado truck has two ports on top of the air conditioner compressor. You will add Freon through the low pressure port.
On the suction side, the low side...................
There is one valve that is used to add refrigrant. But you had better not add Freon. Freon is R12 and your vehicle's A/C system does not have Freon (R12) as a refrigrant. More than likely it uses R134a.
It is either on or near the recievr dryer in the right rear of the engine compartment. To corrrectly add freon, you need gauges and a refrigerant recovery system
...it fixed the issue on my 1995 ElDorado, BUT you must disconnect the battery for a little while to reset the computer to allow you to add Freon to the system. I had a leak and it fixed it for about 6 months. Both warnings went away until the system got low again.
Its best to use a set of a/c gauges but if you are not then just add the freon to the low side which will be the larger hose (suction side)...
