WHEN SHOULD TIMING BELT BE CHANGED ON A 2000 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5? firstname.lastname@example.org
Does the 2004 4runner have a timing belt or chain
2012 4runner timing chain or belt
The timing belts on older Toyota 4Runner models are rated to last approximately 60000 miles. Going to long without changing them can result in a damaged engine.
A 2008 4Runner V6 has a CHAIN. The V8 4Runner has a timing BELT.
use a laptop and the appropriate programs to adjust the timing via the car's ECU
The timing is controlled by the vehicle's computer. There is no need to adjust it during normal maintenance. I don't believe that it is possible to adjust the timing on that vehicle. I think that it was set and sealed at time of manufacture. Safest thing is to check with the dealer.
You don't - its all done by the PCM (computer). Eric
cant computer controled no adjustment
The 4.0L V6 has a timing chain...the 4.7L V8 has a timing chain!
V8 =timing belt, the v6 has a timing chain
how do i adjust the ignition timing on a 1990 suzuki gsx 750f
How do you turn off running lights on 2000 Toyota 4runner?"
adjust timing 4.3 V8 engine
It is probably controlled by the computer;making it non-adjustable. Right the timing is fully controlled by the ECU so the only way to adjust it is by overriding the ECU's values with the propper tunning program and a laptop.
if it is the v6 it has a belt not chain that needs replacing every 105000 miles
you cant adjust this.
you don't adjust, you replace
The water pump is the tensioner for the timing belt. if you need to adjust it, replace it.
