generally speaking if it has valves its a 4 stroke 4 cycle engine......if it doesnt have valves then it is a two stroke 2 cycle...................
The camshaft operates the valves on a 4 cycle engine.
To adjust the valves on a Chevy Celebrity 2.5L 4 cylinder engine I would recommend that you consult a manual, either factory or Chilton or Haynes. There you will find not only how to do the adjustment but the settings to use to adjust the valves in the correct closed position.
A 4-cycle engine that has the intake and exhaust valves located in the cylinder head.
Yes, it has 2 valves. 1 intake and 1 exhaust valve on this single cylinder 4 cycle engine.
There would be two valves per cylinder ! The data is in your question.
This engine probably has hydraulic lifters and no adjustment is required.
There is no oil resivoir holding oil that weighs around 1.7 pounds per quart. A 2 cycle engine also does not have valves which a 4 cycle does. All this makes the 2 cycle engine simpliar and lighter.
First Rav4 was 1994
Absolutely not. Use only 4 cycle oil in a 4 stroke engine. 2 stroke oil is formulated to be mixed with gasoline and will not protect a 4 cycle engine.
If the engine has an oil sump and an oil filler spout, it is a 4-cycle engine. On a 2-cycle engine, oil must be added to the fuel.
'a 4 stroke engine cycle' is usually what it is called...
