while engine is running turn distributer clockwise or counter clockwise and point it to the harmonic balancer it's the pully on the very bottom in the middle, you should see a line and numbers 5-10-15-20 for example those numbers would be degrees not the temperature!,"the angle," look and see what number degrees the line is supposed to be pointing to,when you know the number you turn the distributer and you will see the line move turn the distributer to the number specified in your auto book or whatever oh when your auto book says B.T.C that means top dead center A.T.C means after top dead center,just thought that might help so for example if your specs tell you to put it 4 B.T.C that is 4 degrees before the top not the bottom, the top then you got it !
