Model 940e 16gauge
Assuming you mean the Savage/Stevens 940E single-shot shotgun, about $125 in 28ga in excellent condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
This may be the same as a Stevens 940E. Check out gunpartscorp.com or http://pfbtparts.tripod.com/PFBT.html
I have a Stevens Model 940E,it has a 410 sleave in the gun . It is able to shot 410 as will as it shots 12 gauge when the 410 sleave is taken out. I've had a few guys look at it, they all say they had not seen one before. Is the sleave made for this gun by stevens? ,,
I JUST BOUGHT ONE AT A PAWN SHOP FOR $65
I would say it's around 75-65 used.
www.savageparts.com has a schematic. I advise against disassembly unless you absolutely have to. sales@countrygunsmith.net
940E what??
1950's $100
The one my dad has uses the same forearm. It should just snap on just like it does on the rifle barrel.
Enter "Savage 940E" in Google Images. There are many pics there.
There are two springs in the forend of a 940E. A heavy S-shaped spring called the 'forend spring' and a smaller formed-wire spring called the 'forend spring spring' which puts spring tension on the other spring. Which spring are you having difficulty with? repair@countrygunsmith.net
