Look, being cool in middle school is simple. Just follow these ten tips:
1. Keep your old friends, but go out and get some new ones, too. Don't be afraid to reach out to anyone and everyone- jocks, glams, dramas, punks- 'cuz there are really cool people EVERYwhere. Don't be afraid to pal it up with guys and girls alike!
2. Don't worry about the "popular" crowd. You know, the group of girls/guys that act like they're all that and a pack o' chips, but are just full of backstabbing BS. (I refer to them as the Untouchables) They really won't do anything to you if you don't do anything to them. Be friendly, but don't suck up. However, if you hear them bashing any of your buddies, immediately stick up for your friends. This may come as a surprise, but this will actually RAISE their respect for you.
3. Clothes. These are tricky. Basically, stay true to yourself, don't conform to others, but get out there a little. Pick up some magazines, go shopping, and get ideas. But don't change who you are, or who you look like, because that's what's "in" this season. Basically, just think about what you wear, but don't go nuts over it.
4. Makeup. Okay, look, some people find the raccoon eyeliner (ya know, really, really thick) to be attractive. However, I find it quick silly, and so do most of the guys I hang with.
5. Most kids get to middle school and freak about their body. I never had this problem since, being a three sport athlete, all I care about considering my body is how fast it can run for how long, how many baskets it can drop in a game, and how well it can bend a ball like Beckham. However, I have watched several great friends destroy themselves over their bodies. All I can say is, take care of yourself. Exercise- run, take some dance lessons, get involved in a team sport. Watch what you eat, and make sure that you take care of personal hygiene as well. Don't freak, though! Everyone's body is changing in middle school, so you might get chunky, then slim out again.
6. Always put school first. Although it may seem a little nerdy at first, believe me, your friends will find you cooler if you skipped watching Glee to study for your test than if you don't study, flunk the test, and are grounded for a week.
7. Some people date in middle school. Some kiss. Some have sex. I'd warn you to stay away from the last one, and maybe to just steer clear of the whole business. It's not too cool.
8. Gum. Always have it on you, and have a stick ready to give out. That will make you cool in many people's books.
9. Get involved. Take part in sports, after school stuff, volunteer work, clubs, and even the school musical. It will help you to make friends, and you'll have a lot of fun. Plus, the more things you take part in, the more people that will know who you are.
10. Most important, just stay true to yourself. In the end, you want people to think that you are cool. Have fun, kiddos!
Here's the main things:
*Having a good personality
*Being smart
*Common sence
*Manners
These are plusses:
*Being pretty
*Clothes
*Friends
*Stuff (phone,makeup,i-pod,purses,accessories things like that)
I'm the most popular girl in my grade and I'm in high school. You don't have to be a brat to be popular and you don't have to have a ton of cool stuff (even thought I do) The main thing is to be smart and use you personality to the best you can. Doing this will help you have friends and you'll come off more relateable and easier to talk to then some uptight brats that's think theyre all that because of what they have.
I hope this helps and even though this might not work for you just always remember to be yourslf and don't be one of those girls that is a follower of some "main girl" because in the long run you'll see that that, that girl was using/ taking advantage of you and you'll have been in the shadow for you're whole life if you do. Being popular isn't everything in life its just about going somewhere. Not making a seen where ever you are right now.
Being popular is just a plus to a girls life and although every girl dreams of being the "it" girl of school you don't have to be a brat if you are the "it" girl (like me). like i said that's just a plus the real thing that its all about is letting your personality grow and grow and before you know it you are that "it" girl:):):):)♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
listen to the teachers when they teach, and study for tests. how you would pass any other grade.
Its not about being cool in middle school it about having friends how like you for who you are,if they think your cool then you have yourself some friends that really care.

6th grade
Skipping 6th grade typically requires meeting certain academic criteria and receiving approval from school officials. This might involve demonstrating a high level of proficiency in subjects covered in 6th grade, taking placement tests, and possibly engaging in discussions with teachers, parents, and the school administration to determine if skipping a grade is in the best interest of the student.
Marget is in 6th grade in the whole grade
Paris Jackson is in 6th grade.
Wear someone that looks cool but doesn't make you look like your world revolves around clothes. Cool and casual but not over the top.
