When you have done that go on the button and make sure that the silver platform has touched or is close to the 1st floor. Then push the block onto the floor and then push it on the other silver platform that takes you to the second floor. Quickly, but carefully push the block on the button, go to the gap and wait for the platform to appear and jump (or wait on the first floor for it to come back). the platform will keep on moving allowing you to collect all the stars.
