Those systems aren't exclusive to infantry units, and many line support units have them, as well. You can ask to be assigned to those weapons systems, but, especially in the case of the 240, you'll have to get some experience and demonstrate some proficiency with it. In a line unit, for a 240, you'll typically have to start off as an ammo bearer or assistant gunner, then work your way to the 240. For the M249 (SAW), it tends to be more luck of the draw. Do a 25 miler, and you won't be so crazy about either system, I can guarantee you that.
To become a 240 or SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) gunner in the US Army, you must first enlist in the Army and complete basic training. After basic training, you will go through Advanced Individual Training (AIT), where you will receive specialized training as a light machine gunner. This training will cover the use and maintenance of the 240 or SAW, as well as tactics and techniques for employing the weapon system in various combat scenarios.
No. It's an enlisted position.
usually 90 rounds (rifleman) but that can vary with a support gunner, usually armed with an M249 SAW. The support gunner carries either box magazines or two 200 round belts
It won't run.

The first tanks saw action in 1916.
British army is one of the best army of the world ever saw. It is better if you find some alternate job.
the army saw that the king was thought to be evil by the people (against the mandate of heaven) and the army murdered the king.
Not usually. Your weapon depends on the job you have. For example, a rifleman will carry an assault rifle such as the M16, whereas a support gunner will carry some sort of LMG such as the M249 SAW or the new M27
Changing the plug will not change the power needed to run the saw. If the saw has a dual voltage motor then a wiring change can be done to switch the saw from 240 to 110 volts. If it is not a dual voltage system then the saw must be fed with 220 volts.
