There are several requirements:

  1. be a Canadian citizen;
  2. be at least 30 years old;
  3. own property in your province or territory; and
  4. live in the province or territory that you will represent as a senator.

If you meet all of these criteria, and you know the Prime Minister incredibly well, you are eligible to be a Senator.
