How do you breed Pokémon in Pokémon Ruby?

1.) Go to four island after getting the National Pokedex

2.)Go out of the ship port and walk north

3.)Go inside the building there and give the lady the 2 Pokemon you want to breed

NOTE.) You can't breed legendary Pokemon and you can breed males with a ditto

4.)The two Pokemon Must be in the same egg group to be able to breed

5.)Talk to the man outside the daycare in the fence and he will tell you if they like each other

6.)If it says they prefer to play with other Pokemon there is no chance of an egg.

7.)WALK alot and when the man outside is not in the fence line you have an egg to collect!

simply leave two Pokemon that are compatible at the daycare, just outside of Mauville. (normally at least one type in common) and they must be opposite genders (with the exception of ditto, genderless don't normally breed, and legendaries cannot be bred)

Breeding is done by leaving two pokemon in the Day Care Center (located on Route 7). These two pokemon need to be opposite genders and need to be in the same Egg Group. The easiest way to breed pokemon is to use Ditto as Ditto is in all Egg Groups.
