Air has a pressure, but not a suction pressure. Air pressure is measured with a barometer, you do not calculate it. Suction pressure is a concept which applies to a pump.

Suction pressure = static pressure + surface pressure - vapour pressure - friction pressure.

What is the fan speed relationship to suction pressure?

for a given air conditioner: the faster the condenser (outdoor) fan the lower the suction pressure. the faster the evaporator (indoor) fan the higher the suction pressure.

What will happen if air enters the inside of a suction cup?

The suction cup will lose its attachment, unless it has an additional adhesive. Suction cups attached to a surface are held there by the pressure of the outside air, which is higher than the pressure under the cup. The suction cup is trying to return to its uncompressed condition, and pulls away from the surface, reducing the pressure under it.

How do you determine what suction pressure should be in R22 air conditioning compressors suction line?

The proper suction pressure of any air conditioning or refrigeration system is determined by the type of refrigerant used and sometimes the amount of charge. : Suction pressure used is also directly related to the temperature required. : The temperature required in the evaporator relates to the pressure required in the suction line since, the fluid is at saturation in the evaporator. : Knowing the temperature required, use the fluid's saturation tables to find the corresponding pressure required.

What effect does enlargement of the thoracic cavity has on the air pressure inside the lungs?

reduces intra-thoracic pressure which creates suction that draws air into lungs

What happening when you are overcharging an air conditioning with freon?

discharge pressure is high, suction pressure is high superheat is low and subcooling is high.

How does a suction cup hold objects in place?

A suction Cup will trap air behind itself which causes a partial vacuum. The negative pressure of trapped air or water causes it to keep in contact with the surface it is against.

No differential pressure?

In a filter dust collector,if the differential pressure is 0 may be the air exhaust fan is not functioning or the suction pipe is clogged.

What is compression ratio in air compressor?

The compression ratio is simply the ratio of the absolute stage discharge pressure to the absolute stage suction pressure.

Why would a 2001 Dodge Ram blow cold air for 2 or 3 min then blow hot air?

low refrigerant. stored liquid refrigerant boils away after 2-3 minutes, suction pressure drops, compressor shuts off on low suction pressure.

What is a suction line on an Air Conditioner?

The suction line connects the evaporator outlet and the compressor intlet. Low pressure refrigerator vapour is drawn from the evaporator to the compressor through this line.

Why does a suction cup stick to a window?

When you stick a suction cup on a window you force the air out of the suction cup and you create a high pressure vaccume keeping the suction cup on the window.

How do you use the temperature pressure table when measuring suction pressure on your split system air conditioner?

i think you subtract the evaporator temp from the outside temp?
