You take the number of cubes on one side multiplayed by the number of sides. for example, in the standard rubik cube there are 9 cubes on each side and 6 sides. 9 times 6 is 54 so there are 54 cubes on a ribik cube

All you have to do is measure the length of it, say it's 5cm, then because it's a cube all edges and sides are the same length. So all you have to do is 5 x 5 x 5. Which is 25 x 5 (25cm being the area of one side) And then the area of the side multiplied by 5, (5 being the width this time) So in total that would be 125cm^3

When you think about a rubik's cube there are three layers. In each of these layers is nine smaller cubes. When you multiply three by nine, you get twenty-seven. Hoped this helped!
