Answer 2:I agree with above. Frisky horses are those that often have not had enough exercise, or have a high-energy demeanor. Putting it on a lunge line and giving it a good run in the round-pen is the best way to drain a bit of that pent-up energy, if you can't saddle it up and take it for a good run or a long walk.
Not knowing the age of your mare (they calm down as they get older) it could also be be the feed. If you are feeding a horse more calories than she needs, unless she is being worked hard, most horses do no need much grain. If she is kept in a stall, that could also cause a build up of energy.
Be sure to exercise your horse daily, but you could also teach her a "calming down" cue.
