It has to be pretty late at night for them to be out. It also probably needs to be summer time. Beware if you get too close without catching it, you will pass out and wake up in front of your home.
if you do not have a net out, and you see one, they will run away from you. Unfortunately, if you take a net out, then while the net is loading, the Tarantula will sting you, so I suggest going away to take out your net, and it will be hard afterwards. You can sneak up on them...
Every evening in I think it is Summer or Spring after 8pm tarantulas and scorpions will crawl around your town. It can be quite rare but you will hear a sort of scuffling noise and you should find either one of the creatures I have just mentioned.
It can be very hard to catch them. If you find one you need to get out your net and get it by surprise. If you are not quick enough then they will bite you. Do not panic if this happens. You are not dead - you can't die - you have just been knocked out. If you do manage to catch it donate it to the museum.
Tarantulas come out from 7pm to 4am from June to August. Scorpions come out the same time, except from July to September. I suggest cutting down all of your trees, they will be a lot more common. Scare away all the moths at the town hall and your neighbor's houses. When you find one, the easiest way to catch it is to scare it away next to a cliff. Then go up the cliff and take out your net. They will try to attack you but they are below you so they can't.
Ya, but they are hard to catch.
You can find tarantula's between June and August from 7pm to 4am
i suggest changing the time on your wii or ds
if you here a scuttling noise it will be a tarantula or a scorpion nearby
you have to sneak up on them and make sure you don't swing your net too much while your walking or it will bite you
you will have to get it on the first try or it will bite you and you will wake up near your house and the bug wont be there anymore
The tarantula isn't available in the gamecube version. It is only available in the Wild World and City Folk versions of Animal Crossing.
it come randomly and if you just touch it you better run cause it's not like a normal bug.
You shake a tree during spring, and a spider will fall out of one of them and hang on a string.
Yes but if you wanna catch it your reactions have to be FAST! If you take out your net near scorpion/tarantula it will charge at you. They will come out at night/7:00pm
No, you cannot catch a shrimp on Animal Crossing (for the Nintendo Gamecube), nor can you catch a shrimp for any of it's successors, Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

You can't catch a spider on any animal crossing game. It knocks you out. Put away your net when you catch sight of a spider or scorpion. Now READ THE ANIMAL CROSSING CITY FOLK BOOKLET!
There are no roaches in Animal Crossing City Folk and you cannot catch the roaches in your house on any game (You cannot equip tools inside). On Animal Crossing games other than City Folk you can catch roaches anytime of year. Just walk up to the roach with the net in your hand and press the 'A' button to swing your net. Any roach you catch will sell for 5 bell at Nook's. Hope I helped! Happy Animal Crossing! ^.^
They are worth 8,000 bells. P.S. I got bit by one near the town hall.
Usually dusk I find them on trees
In Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City for Wii simply go to the bus stop in your town and interact with the sign/ bus schedule on the little platform and the bus will appear in seconds to whisk you away to the city. There is no bus to the city in Animal Crossing: Wild World on DS.
