How do you change a brake light in a 1995 Toyota Camry?

Remove the tail light from the outside. Pulls out. Replace bulb. There is no access from the inside of the trunk.

Check the brake fluid reservoir. If it is low, the light will come on notifying you that the brakes need to be serviced.

OPEN THE TRUNK AND AND FIND WHERE THE LIGHTS SEAT UP TOWARD THE TRUNK THERE SHOULD BE SOME WIRING THERE, THAT UNSCREWS FROM THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY.

Pop the cover off by pulling at the corners away from the window, pull the tabs on the light shield, and replace the bulb with a 912 light bulb.

The signal light switch, on your Toyota Camry, can be changed by unplugging the signal relay switch. Plug in the new relay switch.

There is a switch above the steering column (underneath the dash) that may need to be replaced. This is not visible from below the steering column. You normally gain access to the bulb from inside the trunk.

A dashboard light appearing when brake pedal is depressed usually means brake fluid is low.

When we had such problem one of main brake lines was rusted and had to be replaced. It was Toyota Camry 98. We ended up by replacing both lines because the second one was on its way out too.

If it only flickers it may be due to low fluid level in the master cylinder. Check your brake fluid reservoir.

you may have your brake light socket and your back up light socket in the wrong holes. Or you have a short but that would probably leave you with a blown fuse and no lights.
