You would just change the decimal point (move it). One way that I was taught to remember the order of things like this is King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk which stands for Kilo Hecto Deka Base (which is your base unit, meter for centimeter) Deci Centi Milli, (there is also Micro below milli, but most people don't need to know about that.) So to convert numbers from one unit to another you just 'move' the decimal point, you move the decimal point to the right if you are going from a larger to a smaller unit (eg. deci to centi), and you move the decimal point to the left if you are going from a smaller to a larger unit (eg. centi to deci or deka to kilo), in this case you want to go from centi to meter, which is your base unit for this, so you would go from Centi to Deci to Base which moves the decimal point 2 times, to the left (making 2 centimeters .02 meters or .2 centimeters .002 meters).
For all those that didn't want to read above (maybe tl;dr), remember King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk as a way to remember the order which is Kilo Hecto Deka Base Deci Centi Milli (meter is the base for this question). To go from something like Kilo to Hecto you move the decimal point one place to the right (making a 2 a 20) and for going from something like Centi to Deci you move the decimal point one place to the left (making a 2 a .2).
Meters x 100 = cm
by multipliying 100 to the meter 1 meter = 100 centimeters
divide by 100 1 meter = 100 centimeters 1 centimeter = 0.01 meter
multiply 168 by 100, since there are 100 centimeters in 1 meter.
1 meter = 100 centimeters
1 meter = 100 centimeters(1 meter + 64 centimeters) = (100 centimeters + 64 centimeters) = 164 centimeters
36 centimeters are in a meter!!!:)
There are 100 centimeters in a meter.
There are 100 centimeters in a meter.
1 meter = 100 centimeters 1 centimeter = 0.01 meter
2 m 1 meter = 100 centimeters 1 centimeter = 0.01 meter
1 meter = 100 centimeters
1 meter = 100 centimeters
