Changing a head gasket in a 1993 G20 Chevy van involves several steps. First, disconnect the battery and drain the coolant, then remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, along with any accessories blocking access to the cylinder head. Carefully unbolt the cylinder head and replace the old gasket with a new one, ensuring the surfaces are clean. Reassemble everything in reverse order, refill the coolant, and check for leaks before starting the engine.
