Hi, If it's anything like my 87 then you will need to remove the drivers side rear wheel and the inside wheel housing. Once you have donee that you should have full access to the antenna.
There is a plug on the front of the fuse panel that you can disconnect. It should be labeled and I believe it's an orange wire.
