If you're using a floor jack to lift both front wheels simultaneously, use the factory-recommended jack point at the center of the front lower (U-shaped) brace, directly in the front of the engine oil pan. The rear lift point is at the center of the differential.
If you're using the simple jack included with the Miata, look for the jack brace point along the edge of the frame; there will be a spot near each tire (behind the tire for the front, ahead of the tire for the rear) that will have a small u-shaped cutout, then a reinforced brace point. That's where you put the standard jack (which is located in the trunk.)
