I have a 3.1L and there is just 1 screw that holds the tensioner in place.

There is no user serviceable filter in 2004 to 2007 Chevy Malibu Maxx.

below the alternator. there is a diagram on the engine above the serpentine belt

To change the transmission fluid on your Chevy Malibu 2005, first, pull off the pan, drain the fluid, and replace it.

The system should have an automatic belt tensioner. If the belt is loose the tensioner must be shot. The tensioner is available from your local auto parts store.

You can't. it has an automatic self adjusting belt tensioner on it.

There is no way to adjust the belt tensioner, if it's not keeping enough tension on the belt the complete tensioner itself will need replaced.

you tell me how to change head light bulb on 2009 chevy malibu.

as long as it is an automatic transmission, you put ATF in

There is only one serpentine belt and it has an automatic tensioner. It doesn't need to be "adjusted"

It is your lucky day. The cost will be $0.00. The 2000 Chevy Malibu has a chain and NOT a belt. No maintenance is required.
