A coilpack on a 2002 Saturn L200 can be replaced in shop or by the owner. If the owner is making the replacement the owner's manual or a Chilton can be used to assist in the replacing of the coilpack.
It can be very simple, or very complex. It could be a coilpack, bad plug wire, or even a bad spark plug. But it could be as serious and a cracked cylinder. First change your plugs and wires, if that doesnt fix it change the coilpack or check your distributor, whichever you have. If that doesnt do anything you will need to have the engine top end torn down and looked at
In most cases, the coilpack will have numbers on the top of it that correspond with your cylinders. If you can't see the numbers, as I couldn't at first, give the tower a little cleaning.
The Coilpack is located under the intake manifold. It is accessible from under the car or if you have real bendy arms you can remove the air filter box and get to it from there.
There is no coil pack on that year.

locate coilpack, take out 4 screws ,disconnect leads to new coil pack in order then simply replace new pack and screws.

If you look at the plug wires you will see were they hook to the coils.

The coilpack is mounted with 4 small bolts - 8mm(?). Very easy to replace.TIP: make sure you label the wires, or transfer them 1 at a time(!) to the new coilpack. This will help avoid messing up the firing order.See "Related Questions" below for more
