Alot of work and alot of money...
yes i do have both automatic & manual lockouts.
The automatic is a 46RE. The manual is a NV3500.
Automatic: 45RFE Manual: GET238 ( GETRAG )
In most cases just buying a new set of hubs. The automatic hubs are spring loaded and have an internal locking mechanism that works with the axle as to manual which just locks on to the axle when you turn the dial . Very easy swap just make sure the manual hubs are for your vehicle .
You could, but it would be easier and cheaper to buy a manual truck.
46RE automatic or NV3500 manual
The transmission does not have a drain plug. You have to drop the transmission oil pan on an automatic or you can suck the old oil out if is a manual transmission. If it is an automatic, change the filter while you have the pan off.
Either a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic
it had to be ordered other wise it was automatic
If automatic, 1996,1997. If manual, 1994-2001.
The automatic is a 48 RE. The manual is a NV5600.
no it cannot be done
