This is a little bit of a pain. I had a '97 - I hope its close enough. Open the trunk lid and you see 2 bolt heads. You will need to open these and then the other end is held by a clip which you have to fiddle with the get it lose. Careful not to break anything. The light cover comes off and you change the bulb. Assembly is the reverse.
