On my 92 utra, the drain plug is on the oil tank. With the engine warm, the oil is thinner & easier to drain.I remove the right side hard bag. Then remove the screw that holds the oil tank cover & take the cover off.You will see a 7/8" plug at the bottom of the tank.Try to get a funnel under it or it dumps on the exhaust pipe. Also remove the screw on filter on the front of the engine. I let it drain over night,& lean it to the right for a bit, to get it all out. Then put everything back together & fill with 4 qts & your done. No easy way to drain the bottom end,but it only holds a small amount. If your tank check valve is good,98% of the oil is in the tank & filter.

My 92 ultra drain is on the oil tank. Remove the Screw that holds the cover on. Remove dip stick. Remove cover & you will see a hex bolt plug near the base of the tank. Drain the tank, change the filter. Replace the plug & refill the oil.

This will depend upon whether this is a Sportster engine (which has two separate oil supplies) or a Big Twin (which has three).
