first of course take tire off, the off pull the caliper break pads and all should be two bolts more than likely an Allen head, they will be on the back side of the caliper, when you get the caliper out of your way, then you can remove the rotor sometime the fall off with a slight pull with your hand if not, take a hammer and don't hit the rotor to hard hit it on top first it should move and possibly come off if not spin the hub were you can now hit the bottom the rotor should fall off the studs and then slide the new on in its place, when putting the caliper back on screw like two lug nuts back on it will hold the rotor in place while you mount the caliper back on the take the lugs of the studs and put the tire on and your ready to go

Do you have to bleed the brakes when you change the rotors on a 2000 silverado?

No, you do not. If you change the caliper, you will have to bleed that brake line. Have someone press on the brake pedal. Open the bleed valve, while they continue to hold the pedal. Close the valve. Repeat 3 times. We did it 4 times, but 3 should do it. Works great!
