remove the radiator hose attached to the engine side, remove the two bolts on that casing the hose was just attached to, take special note to remember how the thermostat was in there to duplicate the exact position of the new one and also so you do not lose the gasket on the old thermostat. remove old thermostat and insert new one as the old one was positioned. replace casing and bolts and upper radiator hose.
