its just like an oil change. find the big drain bolt on your transmission.drain it. Its safe to say that acuras only need their tranny fluid changed about twice in their lifetime.

If it is an automatic transmission, you add transmission fluid with a long funnel through the dipstick opening.

A 1999 Acura Integra LS takes approximately 2.5 quarts of transmission fluid in order to fill it up. It is important to keep your fluids full in your vehicle.รŠ

There isn't a manual transmission fluid reservoir in an 95 Integra. The fluid is poured directly into the transmission case via the 17mm fill bolt, located at about 10 o'clock above where the passenger side drive shaft connects to the transmission, as looking at the end of the tranny.

The manual that came with my 1990 Acura Integra GS indicates to use Dexron II. If you change the fluid only it's 3.2 qts. I hope this answers your question.

There is a fill hole in the side of the transmission towards the middle facing inward. The fluid should be just high enough to not run out of the hole.

It may just need a fluid/filter change and then again it may be a more serious problem. My advice is to take it to a Acura/Honda dealer or trusted transmission shop for service immediately. Continuing to drive in this condition may do serious damage to the transmission.

if its a manual transmission you dont have one it has a plug you unscrew and look into if its an automatic its on the passenger side(the side with the transmission) it will have a yellow handle on it.

There is not normally a drain plug for changing your transmission fluid. The fluid is held with in a pan that needs to be dropped entirely and the magnet with in the pan needs to be cleaned and the seal around the pan replace. These items normally come together with in a kit.

If its a manual transmission any 5w-30 oil will work fine. However I personally use Honda's specific manual transmission fluid, available at any Honda dealership.

You require 3-4 when doing a fluid change, be sure to only use Honda/Acura brand

In mine the transmission is a sealed system meaning you cant change/fill the fluid without disassembly.

Any type of SAE certified transmission fluid can be used in the 1997 Acura. The transmission should never be overfilled.

It is important to use the correct amount of fluid in a car. The 1988 Acura Legend takes about 3.2 quarts of transmission fluid.

Check your transmission fluid level. If it is low add just enough Acura A/T fluid ATF DW-1 to reach the full mark. Warning: Do not overfill and use only genuine Acura ATF DW1 fluid and nothing else. Check it according to the owners manual instructions. If it is full then you need to seek professional help and have the fluid filter changed. Insist they use only Acura Fluid and no substitute which they may try to use or your transmission will not sift properly.
