most of the time you have to pull off the transmission pan if there is not a drain plug on the pan. It is best if you pull the pan off clean it well then reinstall it with a new gasket kit then replace the fluid. you can also take it to a quick lube and they can do a fluid exchange but i do not recommend this because it will suck up the sediment from the pan into the transmission and cause major problems. hope this helps.
