take the driveshaft out and take it to a driveline repair shop and they will have it repaired in a day then BE VERY CAREFUL they will have the caps taped on so they dont fall off because inside of the caps are small pins that are lined inside of them only being held in place with grease.when you are ready to reinstall take the tape off and slide the spline back in and bolt it back up.tool usually require only a 3/8 wrench but it can also vary on different makes and models. good luck
If the u-joint has never been changed you can't grease them because factory u-joints don't have grease alimites...you will have to change the u-joint. After market u-joints have alimites.
No, The joint is just not being put in correct. Go buy a good u-joint SORRY
How do u bypass the neutral safety switch in a 2002 chevy silverado 1500
Sounds like a U-joint in the driveshaft is bad.
On a 1958 Impala you change the center U joint you need to first place the car on jack stands. Next, remove the bolts or straps holding the U joint cross in place. Once removed, replace with the new center U joint and bolt back in place.
u can't just change the upper ball joint, u have to change the whole upper control arm. It is welded to the arm in one piece.
With the vehicle sitting on level ground or on a lift, the U-Joints not in a bind, check each U-Joint for play. Any play in the joint means it needs replacing. Also keep in mind, its always good to get an opinion from a professional.
most of the time when a u-joint starts going out it will make noise in rewind first
How do u remove front axle u joints
More likely u-joint, check that first.
It is a U-joint and it is actually pretty easily done with some basic tools. Here is a short write up of how to do it: http://www.myjeepxj.com/index.php?page=u-joint-replacement
the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank so u will have to remove the tank or the truck bed;;
