So far, I don't think that you can change the family tree on Sims 2. You can make Sims related through marriage, but not through the bloodline (unless your sims decide to have children). Sorry for the inconvenience.
To veiw your family tree, click on the Simology panel (the panel showing your sim's traits etc). By your sims name is a picture of a family tree. Click on this to see it.
