First run the engine for awhile at least 10 minutes. Then shut off the engine, pull out the transmission dipstick in no more than a minute after shutting off the engine. Next, wipe off the dipstick with clean cloth, then insert and push the stick all the way into check. Then pull it out and see if the fluid is between lower and upper level marks (It should be between the rectangle notch).
