Hello, I too own a 2004 LS. As far as the transmission, these cars are equipped with an internal transmission. Which means, in short, only a cerified Lincoln technician can access the system. So you won't be able to flush, check, or add fluid to the system. I hope you found this information helpful.
The dipstick to check the transmission fluid on a 2004 Lincoln Aviator is located along the left side of the engine. It connects directly to the transmission and also serves as a filler tube.
To check the level you have to lift the car up and remove the center plug in the drain plug on the transmission pan. These cars have a sealed transmission no dip stick to check the level. The center plug opens at the full level point of the fluid.
Your 2004 Toyota Corolla transmission holds seven quarts of transmission fluid. You can check the transmission fluid level with the transmission fluid dipstick.
You don't. The transmission on a 2004 Lincoln LS is sealed.
Check the fluid level and have the computer checked for codes.
Have a garage check it for you. The car needs to be warmed up and up on a lift and level. There is a small plug threaded into the transmission case. When that plug is removed the fluid should just trickle out indicating the fluid level is full.
There is no dipstick, there is a fill plug on the side of the transmission case. It requires a T30 to remove. With the vehicle level and the engine running, remove the plug and fill until the fluid drips out. Only someone with the necessary skills and tools can perform this task.
there is no dipstick to check the fluid, the fluid is lifetime and never needs to be changed or serviced, there is a fill plug on the bottom of the transmission, engine running, and trans warm, fluid should pour slightly out of fill plug..
The fill plug is on the left side of the transfer case. You remove the fill plug, and the fluid should come to the bottom of the fill plug.
Check the fluid, check for codes.
check the level of your power steering fluid. Also have a mechanic check to see if your power steering pump is working properly.
Start engine, idle in park. Pull dipstick, wipe off and reinsert. Pull dipstick and read the level.
