MAINTENANCE OF THE MAGAZINE:
Periodically, the magazine should be cleaned with solvent to prevent the build-up of unburned powder and grit in the spiral track. A significant amount of residue in the track may hinder the functioning of the drum.
To disassemble the drum magazine, open the real cover and depress the spring loaded button. Turn the spring tensioning key COUNTER-CLOCKWISE and remove it. Next, lift the spindle out of the magazine. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE MAGAZINE ANY FURTHER.
Its going to depend on the capacity of the magazine that you are using which range from 5 round to big 75 +? round drums
standard mags hold 30 extended mags hold 40 Drum mags hold 75 and there is one rare custom 60 round mag which looks like half a circle (2 standards back to back)
30 in Standard mags 40 in Extended mags 75 in Drum mags those were the common mags, there are also custom 60 round mags that look like 2 standard ones back to back that form a half-circle shape
There have been several variants. Most commonly, 20 round or 30 round magazines, but may use a 40 or 75 round drum.
it depends on what mag its using. Ak-47s use several different mag systems including drum mags, banana mags, etc. a banana mag holds about 30 depending on what type of mag you buy as a drum mag holds 75 rounds and another type can hold 40 rounds hope that helps!
