I read the shaving foam answer for cleaning mirrors and tried it ... but, ugh, streaky and didn't clean it very well. Then ...
EUREKA ... I remembered that when my sister was in her teens, she worked as a maid in a 5-star hotel in London.
She was told by the floor managers to only ever clean windows and mirrors with newspaper! They never, ever used the blue spray window cleaner or anything else.
It is THE best mirror cleaner. Simply grab a few pages of newspaper, screw them up into a size that will fit in your hand easily, put a tablespoon or so of water on it and use it on the mirror like it's a cleaning cloth!
It WILL get rid of smears, hairspray and anything else!
