DON'T CLEAN THEM! A damp cloth can be used to gently wipe off dust and dirt, with the exception of thick Edison diamond disc records which are made of a fiberboard core covered with shellac, the water will swell the Edison records. Avoid wiping the label, they are normally paper. Brushing them with a soft, dry cloth is also acceptable. Most often a dirty shellac record won't sound much worse than a clean looking one. If the sound is very bad, it is probably that the record is worn and can not be repaired.
lots of ways as they are really hard wearing. We use vinylvirginiser its like a facepack and created a film over the vinyl then you can peal it off or just use soap and water, dont get the label wet.

Your recorder should come with a long, skinny plastic stick. One end has an eye--like a needle. The best way to clean the recorder is to put a small rag through the eye. It will clean the inside when you put the stick through the inside of the recorder. You can use other materials such as tissue instead of cloth, although I don't recommend it. Tissues get stuck at the top easily and a rag can be used over and over again.
When you buy a recorder, it comes with the little stick that you use to clean it. You take the stick and wrap a piece of cloth around it and tie it in a knot. Don't use a paper towel or a tissue because they will get stuck at the top with the spit. At the bottom of your recorder, there is a hole. Or you may be able to take the top off and clean from there. Stick your stick in there and clean the spit out with the cloth and replace the cloth every once in a while. If your recorder becomes to sound squeaky, you should try cleaning it. Also clean it every once in a while after you play it.
I clean mine with a soft brush and sop and water taking care to keep the labels dry. I then rinse off the soap. There are proprietry brands of cleaner on the market but they may contain harmful chemicals in some cases so I prefer not to use them. On the other hand I know that mild liquid soap like washing up liquid is harmless to shellac.

Locate the bypass hold on your recorder to open the recorder if the tray is not ejecting. Then look at the bottom of the recorder for any scratches or dust. If there is any dust, clean away. Finally, test it.

You will need recorder grease for a wooden recorder, and recorder cream for a resin/plastic recorder. On either one, use your finger to smear the grease on the joints of the recorder. On a wooden recorder, the joint will be made of cork or string.
