I LOVE pomegranates!!! And yes, I've gotten pomegranate stains on my clothes. What I've done is soak that spot (immediately) in 1/2 c. milk for hours (even over night) and then I spot-wash with regular laundry detergent. Presto! Stain gone. I've noticed, though, that if I rinse the stain (with water) before soaking in milk, the stain will turn purple (and soaking in milk will not work).

i've been dealing with pomegranate for years now and let me tell that stuff is insane!!! It stained my white cats fur all red then when i tried to clean it...the fur turned bluish. But here is the trick...your best friend when it comes to pemegranate juice is hamburger helper grease from the pan....if you have a family or just a boyfirend/girlfriend...cook them hamburger helper and then once u strain the pot...keep the grease!! Pour it all over the stain and let it sit for about an hour...scrub as hard as yyou can can for a a good few minutes....afterwards...apply water and watch it magically dissappear! Trust me this receipe for pomegranate stain removal is a dream come true...since i eat them like candy.

You don't need enzyme stain removers: Rinse stain well, even if it has dried, with cold water until it stops fading. Then rub in baking soda really well and rinse with cold water until stain has turned a light blue. Then boil water (you might need alot) and pour boiling water in a stream from a couple feet above the fabric directly onto the stain so the water passes through and off the fabric. Stain should disapear completely. Works for me on whites and wont take set colours out of your clothes.

Well washing them with soap and water should do the trick, but if that doesn't work, then I would suggest rubbing your hands with another basic substance like lard or grease. This should counteract the acid in the pomegranate and lift the stain. Don't worry, the pH values are not strong enough to cause a violent reaction.
