The first thing you do is turn on your Xbox. There is a little white circle button. Click it. On your remote there are left and right bumpers; in the center of that side, there is another small white circle button. Hold that button; they should connect to each other.

∙ 14y agoAccording to MICROSOFT(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906347) you just download the 'XBOX 360 Controller for Windows' software and then plug the controller into your PC's USB2.0 port.
The above link contains the necessary links to download the aforementioned software.
(note - Microsoft direct linking sometimes doesn't work, but the link will list the correct page at the top of the search list - stupid MS)

∙ 14y agothere is a button on the top of the controller. next to it there are three curving lines looking kind of like this ))). hold down that button and the button on your Xbox 360 console (that has the same symbol next to it) until it connects. have fun!

∙ 12y agoIf it wired just connect it to the usb port on the front, but if its wireless and it wont connect when you turn it on, all you have to is press the button the Xbox 360 on the front that has the little signal looking picture, and press the button at the same time that is on the top of the controller next to the charger.
