You can purchase a Belkin 50 foot Cat 6 ethernet cable for around $20 on Ebay (longer cables are available) and just run the cable from the router to the PS3. For appearance you might find a closet to use to go up from the downstairs and if you have wall to wall carpet you can normally find a space along the edge to tuck the cable under the carpet. You will need a drill of enough length for the distance between the floors. It can take a while, but will be a permanent wired connection and you won't lose the signal as often as a WiFi connection over a distance. You will have the added benefit of higher download / upload speeds when you perform the PS3 connection test than the WiFi connection. It is possible to find someone who will do a professional job on the installation and sometimes because you must purchase tools (drill, drill bits, etc) it can also be the cheapest
The PS3 does not have a router. you must purchase one to connect online if you need a router
You connect your PS3 to the router and then to the internet modem with ethernet cables. The PS3 has a single spot in back to plug in the cable and the router has many spots in back to connect. The router will be connected to the modem. Once the cables are in place go to the settings on the PS3 and then Network connections.
For the PS3 you have to buy a wireless router then u connect it to your computer. After that you connect it to your PS3.
There is no router on a PS3. There should be a router connected to your computer to give you wifi. The IS a network adapter built inside the PS3 that will connect to your router. For connecting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC7aPylbI3M
If you connect your modem to the router, and then using one of LAN port (router's) connect the PS3 to the router, you will not interfere with wireless signal at all.
you would be if it was going to come out on ps3, however according to the official sims website there it isnt, its not mentioned soooo....
You can purchase a router and connect the PS3 to the router with an ethernet cable. The router must then be connected to a cable modem or similar internet source
Router problem. Reset both your router and your ps3 then try to connect again. Make sure you have a good signal.
You can use an ethernet cable to connect a PS3 with a wired connection
If you have a router the ethernet cable connects to it. If you have another item like a PC connected to a modem you could disconnect the ethernet cable from it and plug in the PS3 until you purchase a router.
If the wireless router is like mine then you also can make an ethernet connection with the PS3 using an ethernet cable
You must subscribe to an internet service and have WiFi modem or router or connect an ethernet cable to your PS3 from a router or a Modem with internet service
