One MB (MegaByte) is 1024 KB (KiloByte).

Hence, to go from KB to MB you divide the number of kilobytes by 1024 and you're left with megabytes.

Example:

Convert 2,000,000 Kb to Mb

2,000,000x 1Mb = 2,000,000/1000=2000

1000 Kb

So the answer is 2000 Mb

Note:I will show you the shortcut without long solution:

First,just divide 1000 from 2,000,000

Example:

2,000,000 divided by 1000 =2000

A Kb is a Kilobyte, one thousand bytes, 1000 bytes

A Mb is a Megabyte, one million bytes, 1,000,000 bytes

To express so many Kb, as Mb you have to divide by a thousand, move the decimal point three paces to the left.

1000 kb is 1 Mb.
