Using Rennies Extra or Gavascon normally help also putting a hot water bottle can help. If it is really painful I would recomend taking painkillers. If the tummy aches persist go and see a doctor they will probably be able to help you.

If there is a condition called "tummys", I am not aware of it. Some clarification would certainly help. However, if you are concerned about a particular condition, such as abdominal pain, the safest and most effective course of action is to consult a health care provider.

There are several types of stomach aches, and they are set apart into categories.

The first is the classic "indigestion", which is simply a stomach ache that is very clearly caused by eating too much, (or not enough!), and that would be cleared up using a pill for gas, called Simethicone. That will bust up any gas bubbles, which can be so painful that they can mimic a heart attack at times, with the pain extending up into the shoulders and even the jaw! (Always get checked FOR a heart attack.)

If you are considering taking these for longer than a couple of days, you really should see a doctor because stomach pain is not something that should be ignored if it lasts longer than a few hours, and especially if it gets worse.

We cannot talk about stomach pain without discussing bowel habits!

You should ask yourself "how long has it been since I went to the bathroom?"

If the answer is "not for at least 4 days" then you might have found your problem!

Colace is helpful in treating minor constipation, and is available over the counter at the drug store.

Miralax is wonderful in treating minor constipation as well, because it is a very slow moving laxative, and works gently, taking at least a day to have results that are not sudden, or "too much". It is also available over the counter at any pharmacy.

Out of all of those remedies, the best way to treat stomach pain is to prevent it from happening in the first place! Eat lots of fiber and drink fluids, especially water.

What i usually do if i have a sore tummy is i have a long soak in a hot bath and go sleep. it is usually gone when i wake up.
